They don't want us to know
Bad data - either ineptly or purposefully done - is preventing us from knowing what is happening
Just a few examples of how terrible the data in the USA is - and why I so often rely on the UK or Israel for ‘better’ numbers.
The CDC does not track or collate all the data systematically. Each state pulls its own numbers, their own way - and some of that gets to the CDC, where some of it is published.
Some states track age demographics in 10 year increments (e.g, 30-39, 40-49) others use very different ranges (e.g, 19-65, 66-80, etc). Trying to figure out what the data is for a 46 year old is impossible.
Beyond all that - the states do stupefyingly idiotic things.
Here is Connecticut reporting on November 11th that “one hundred seventy fifty”
vaccinated people had died of Covid since February. I did not mis-type that ‘number’ - that is what they reported:
Now as bad as that ‘number’ is, last week CT reported 226 COVID breakthrough deaths since February. (Assuming they meant 175,) Did 50 or vaccinated people un-die over the past week????????
Yeah. What am I supposed to do with that?
Another example.
Up until about a month ago, Oklahoma reported Covid hospitalizations and deaths among the vaccinated, including by the type of shot they had received. I had used this data consistently for months to help inform myself of vaccine breakthrough trends.
Then it just disappeared. Gone.
Oh, but there was this explanation:
At this time, we are currently working on refining the process for identifying breakthrough infections and reinfections. Once we have finalized this process, we will resume providing tables.
Great. Super useful. Even if it comes back, there will be a new methodology that will likely make comparisons between that new data and previous numbers impossible.
Maybe that is the idea????
The CDC itself is just as bad as the states.
Back at the start of May, the CDC stopped counting Covid infections in vaccinated Americans. The decision destroyed any efforts to track how well the vaccines worked against infection or transmission on the national level. Even NPR commented on how poor this decision was - so it must be bad.
In addition, up until October 11th, the CDC still provided weekly updates on vaccine breakthroughs that resulted in hospitalization and death across the United States.

There is a reason I didn’t add the hyperlink to that^^^^. It doesn’t exist anymore. Don’t bother. Instead, you’ll be redirected to this page:
“Ensuring Covid-19 Vaccines Work.”
Subtle.
In case you have missed the point, the next line on the page is, “Covid-19 Vaccines Work,” beside an illustration of a doctor holding a shield with “VACCINE” emblazoned across it.
Certainly, this is more useful than exact data about breakthrough cases and deaths.
When it disappeared, the page showed almost 11,000 deaths and more than 30,000 hospitalizations in vaccinated Americans. Those numbers hung around until Nov. 1 (without being updated), when the page was suddenly eliminated.
Why? Just guessing, but maybe it had something to do with the fact that from Oct. 4 to Oct. 18, deaths of vaccinated people jumped more than 4,000 and hospitalizations almost 14,000.
That means that over those 14 days in early October, there were more than 300 deaths and almost 1,000 new hospitalizations a day among vaccinated Americans.
Seems honest, fair, and forthright to me. Certainly not like anyone is trying to hide data they don’t like.
All this doesn’t even include redefining ‘vaccinated’, reporting only ‘risk-adjusted’ number instead of raw numbers, and ignoring VAERS reports. The list goes on and on.
Perhaps this explains why vaccine efficacy in the USA is reported to be 3-10 times higher than in the UK or Israel, using the same vaccines????
We are stuck using foreign data for guessing what is happening in the USA.
The CDC won’t tell us the simplest thing - like how many vaccinated people have died, either from COVID or something else.
Clearly, they want it that way.
Why worry? After all, we can trust them, right? I mean, they have a graphic with a doctor holding a vaccine shield! That is good enough.
Many thanks to Alex Berensen, from whom I got the idea for this post - and lifted some information and words.
