FDA authorizes booster shot for 5-11 year olds
Based on only 67 patients! (and the study only gets worse from there)
The FDA just made an emergency authorization to allow 5-11 year old kids to get COVID mRNA boosters.
This has to be one of the least scientific decisions in the last two years (and that is really saying something!).
Without going into any of the details about how the vaccine has already failed in nearly all age groups, has a terrible risk/reward ratio in children, and how few children have suffered any serious effect of COVID……1
Just look at the ‘evidence’ used to push this decision through (from the FDA authorization):
Two simple points:
It is based on only 67 participants.
Can you imagine justifying giving an experimental drug to millions of kids on the basis of a study that only looked at two elementary school classrooms? Your FDA has no problem doing it.
It is based on serum antibody levels.
Not improved immunity. Not evidence of fewer cases, hospitalizations, or deaths. Simply more antibodies floating around in the blood. By the way, these will be antibodies against the spike protein from the Delta variant, not Omicron.
The FDA has apparently sold its scientific integrity to the highest bidder.
Pfizer won.
Oh yeah, the FDA didn't bother to ask their scientific advisory board's advice either. Why would you want the input of experts on something like this???
