The decline of science at the FDA has become unmanageable
A great (and short) essay on how industry-funding of the FDA is endangering the public
This opinion piece by David Ross was just published in the British Medical Journal and describes how ‘industry fees’ that are funding the FDA are ruining its independence and ability to protect the public.
The author concentrates on the (very) dubious approval of a drug called ‘Recarbrio’ in 2019; but you can see the exact same problems that manifested themselves in the (very) dubious approval of the mRNA shots for COVID19.
It is very short - and a quick read - so I don’t feel the need to describe it further here.
Without major reform, we can only expect these FDA problems to get worse.
