[UPDATE: DoD has provided the ‘corrected’ numbers - and they don’t pass the smell test. Read the update here.]
I first saw this story last week, but held off because it feels a bit like a conspiracy theory or even fearmongering. In addition, the only outlets reporting the story have been extremely ‘right-leaning’ (e.g., The Blaze & American Greatness), making the story even more suspect in many people’s minds.
And, we don’t have any real data. We only have whistleblower reports of data.
Still…..
Last Monday (1/24/22), Senator Ron Johnson hosted a five-hour hearing on a “COVID-19: Second Opinion”. At that time, Ohio attorney Thomas Renz presented DOD medical billing data from the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED).
According to the military, DMED is the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch’s (AFHSB) “web-based tool to remotely query de-identified active component personnel and medical event data contained within the Defense Medical Surveillance System (DMSS).” In other words, it contains every ICD medical billing code for any medical diagnosis in the military submitted for medical insurance billing during any given period of time.
One of the ‘criticisms’ of VAERS (the civilian vaccine adverse event reporting system) has been that ‘anyone’ can register a problem. Because the DMED is only accessible to military personnel, it is logical to presume that it does not have that issue.
Here are some of the basic (and terrifying) statistics they reported:
DoD whistleblowers (represented by Renz) compared 2021 DMED codes to the five year average from 2016-2020.
Essentially, before and after the vaccine.
miscarriages - 200% increase
cancer diagnosis - almost 300% increase
neurological issues - 1,000% increase
myocardial infarction –269% increase
Bell’s palsy – 291% increase
congenital malformations (for children of military personnel) – 156% increase
female infertility – 471% increase
pulmonary embolisms – 467% increase
It could be argued that these changes are due to COVID itself (and not, potentially, the mRNA shots) - but the numbers in 2020 were reported to be similar to 2016-2019. Increased rates were only seen in 2021.
As previously mentioned, I did not report on this information last week because it was unconfirmed and incredibly inflammatory.
However, the numbers have essentially been confirmed by a DoD spokesperson in a ‘fact check’ by (the extremely left-leaning) PolitiFact. They dispute the reason for the discrepancies, but do not dispute the numbers themselves.
Not surprisingly, PolitiFact found the whistleblower claims to be ‘False’.
Their reasoning is nearly as scary as the reported vaccine injuries.
Straight from the PolitiFact fact check:
But Peter Graves, spokesperson for the Defense Health Agency’s Armed Forces Surveillance Division, told PolitiFact by email that "in response to concerns mentioned in news reports" the division reviewed data in the DMED "and found that the data was incorrect for the years 2016-2020."
Officials compared numbers in the DMED with source data in the DMSS and found that the total number of medical diagnoses from those years "represented only a small fraction of actual medical diagnoses." The 2021 numbers, however, were up-to-date, giving the "appearance of significant increased occurrence of all medical diagnoses in 2021 because of the underreported data for 2016-2020," Graves said.
The DMED system has been taken offline to "identify and correct the root-cause of the data corruption," Graves said.
Let that sink in!
The indispensable tool the US military uses to surveil medical issues in its soldiers, airmen, and marines has been spectacularly corrupted for at least five years straight.
Nobody noticed.
The DMED was reporting one-tenth the correct number of some medical diagnoses. For at least five years in a row. Every year.
Nobody noticed.
Then in 2021, it magically fixed itself.
Again, nobody noticed.
It wasn’t until the whistleblowers brought it up at a public hearing that anybody noticed.
But don’t worry, they will take the system offline and ‘correct’ the numbers.
Numbers that (before they ‘correct’ them) basically agree with the civilian VAERS data (which is also corrupted).
I suppose it is possible they are right…..
Thank you for this analysis. It is a critical component in my effort to preserve the holistic health and fitness of the Soldiers, Family Members, and DA Civilians on Fort Riley, Kansas. https://grantesmith.substack.com/p/kostoff-et-al-2021
That's awful. And terrifying. In either direction.
